Susan Sellers, JD: Deputy Director

Susan Sellers is a Deputy Director for Nonprofit Knowledge Works, where she currently manages research for strategic projects selected by Nonprofit Knowledge Works that lend support to the nonprofit and public sectors. Susan has more than fifteen years of experience in public policy, development and nonprofit management. Her past successes include the implementation of a $30 million Hurricane Katrina recovery contract serving more than 7500 families. Her professional experience, academic training and communication skills, make her an effective researcher, particularly as it relates to funding and legislation, as well as a sought after presenter and facilitator.

Prior to joining Knowledge Works, she served as the founding director of a nationally recognized partnership of after–school programs, as Executive Director of the McLennan County Youth Collaboration, and as a staff attorney in the Public Policy Division of the National Center for Victims of Crime. In these roles she has raised and managed millions of dollars in public and private funding while staying true to the mission of the organizations involved. Susan has a Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law and a BA from Texas Christian University.
